This is a sample of cover concepts explored for the young adult fiction This is Our Story by Ashley Elston. The novel's protagonist is a teenage girl who helps a local prosecutor solve the case of a hunting accident that leaves one of five best friends dead. I was interested in evoking an aura of mystery while alluding to the romance in the novel.
