POKÉMON COLLECTION
My diploma project is a winter collection inspired by the phenomenon of Pokémon. My main aim was to recreate
this theme of this subculture into fashionable statement. The philosophy of Nintendo Co. Ltd was one of the main
pillars, which shaped this thesis. I wanted to create a collection which celebrates the mission of spreading kindness
and connecting people. I wanted to invoke on the spectator a feeling of safety and good vibes after seeing these outfits.
I created a playful collection for Pokémon enthusiasts and courageous fashion fans.

I worked with technical materials such as nylon fabric with water-repellent treatment and softshell with its ability
to conduct moisture away, while keeping body warm. I combined various pastel colours, especially blue, pink
and violet accompanied with the accents of yellow and green. I made a collection which consists of five clothing units
including accessories and footwear. The first women’s silhouette is comprised of padded skirt, T-shirt and tabi socks
with water resistant finish. The second one, meant for men, is made up of partially padded jacket with high mandarin collar,
padded vest, velvet culottes, tabi socks and padded backpack.
Another clothing unit is menswear as well and it consists of half-padded jacket with a hood, culottes with shortened length,
padded tabi with foam shoe sole and bum bag. Afterwards the adult pieces go on to the boy’s garment
which is softshell jacket with high mandarin collar, padded vest and culottes with 7/8 length, tabi shoes
and trigger mittens. Following outfit is children’s kit and it is a girl’s jumpsuit with waterproof socks and mittens.
