The starting point of this artwork is a piece of a tree bark collected in the Pitt Rivers museum used from young men of ancient tribes in Oceania for the magical purpose of inducing the love of a woman.
A cortex that speaks about the struggle for love, the ritual of enchantment that a lover perform
to catch the loved one, in a shaking wild dance between the tree and the lovers. It's interesting to me how something we usually consider as inanimate can hide a beating heartand a deep ancestral energy for those who can see.
It evokes the fight, the pain, the youth, the sacrifice, love.
