As a 3rd year NAFA student, it would good to share with the open house visitors about our studying experience. The journey is filled with endless challenges, high amount of stress and sleepless nights but it is also filled with joyous and stressful moments that are overcome together with our friends and as a class. These factors helped to bring us through the semesters and are what motivates us to press on. From these, I had the idea of interpreting the factors as something that guide us through the course and hence, came out with the topic, “Shine”.
As the theme is ‘Shine’, it has led me to thinking about neon lights. Neon lights are bright and colourful in nature, which helps to liven up places and guiding people in dark environments. The brightness of the lights represents NAFA’s capability in making each student an outstanding designer while the vivid colours of the lights represent the different mood and characteristics of each student; which hence resulted to the colourful visuals in this project. The visuals are also given light effects to further bring out the meaning behind the idea.
