Wadowice

Branding
Wadowice is a small town in the Małopolska (Lesser Poland) region, mostly known as a birthplace of Pope John Paul II. In the 1990s it was decided to add the papal insignia, crown and Baroque-ish cartouche frame to the municipal coat of arms. Intending to correct the heraldic errors in that design, it was necessary to create a new one in accordance with the heraldic principles.

The new coat of arms design became the base to the new visual identity of the city: simplified coat of arms and papal keys, which were moved from behind – next to the arms shield. This version of the logo will be used for promotion. For everyday, municipal applications the simplified coat of arms will be used separately, without the keys as a part of the identity system.

Part of the job was to create the key visual and design the set of layouts for municipal documents, publications, prints etc.
