Trombone Shorty is a famous jazz musician from New Orleans, LA. As a fan, I wanted to create the promotional designs for his national tour, including posters and merchandise. The challenge was to create an aesthetic that looked unlike any previous imagery associated with Trombone Shorty, but still evoke a sense of his music and style.
I designed a brighter poster for the spring leg of his tour and included symbols of the season, his home, and the alluring force of his music. I used Photoshop to create the composition, and fonts Gill Sans and Copasetic for the text.
