Twilight Zone - Photo Series

The Twilight Zone photo series is something I had in mind for a while. I'm a huge fan of the show and have always imagined bringing the iconic characters and moments to life again in full color. With the help of my producing partner, we carefully selected our favorite 12 episodes to bring to life.

All characters were shot on a grey seamless in my apartment. We primarily shot on a Canon 5D Mark III and Einstein E640 lights. Background plates were a combination of location photography, stock assets and CGI renderings.

"Eye of the Beholder"
"Will the Real Martian Please Stand"
"The Trade Ins"
"Time Enough at Last"
"Where is Everybody?"
"The Dummy"
"Nick of Time"
"Nightmare at 20,000 Feet"
"The Odyssey of Flight 33"
"The Lonely"
"A World of His Own"
"The Invaders"
Along with the episode composites, we photographed each character in iconic black and white photography. Each character portrait required a unique lighting style that corresponded with the tone and mood of their respective episodes.
Here are a couple making-of GIFs that break down the compositing process on a few of my favorite scenes to build. Enjoy and thanks for viewing!
