Vietnam little corner project

Vietnam Little Corner is known for a charity of Vietnamese people living in Netherlands to ask for donation to support poor children in Vietnam. Once in a while, they host some cultural events for that purpose.

Vietnam Food Festival was one of those. It was occurred in August and everything had started to be prepared with the organizing woman since June. The main goal is to promote to Vietnamese and Dutch people to attend the event as much as possible to increase the donation. Since it was a charity events, all the human resources was volunteer and the budget for graphic design part was limited.
It was a volunteer work but I took it as a serious challenge

Since they don't have a website for their organization. I had to work along with them to design the landing page, including promoting the upcoming event. The landing page must get higher rate of people who will attend to the event. Also it must showing them what the event is about by showing  the event schedule, ticket price, food, etc.

Besides, I also take in charge to design promote stuff such as flyer, banners,… to promote the event on and off the internet. Quite a challenge for me while they didn't have a specific idea in mind.
How we worked everything out

I and the organizer woman sat down and discuss about the landing page. It should show the price ticket with a CTA button to buy it in the most convenient way. Because the more people buy the ticket, the more money will be donated to the poor children in Vietnam.

First I submitted the wireframe to her and then after a few revision, we agreed and listed out all the information that needs to be put on the landing page.

To begin with promoting the event, the header has a glimse of Vietnam's countryside. And in this case, the name of the event will be showed along with a subheader below it. The next 2 sessions are meant for selected food which is presented at the event and the event's schedule.

To follow on buying tickets for the event, two pricing tables will be presented with all the details of two different type of tickets. Users will have a better decision for their plan.
Finally, the contact session will show the event location as well as contact information. Following by a subscribe form for future events.

With the print-ads, I use the same pink color but with a darker tone for printing in order to ensure the brand awareness. The color pallete only has 3 colors but it has a strong impact for viewers. The background pattern is hand-rawing food. After designing the flyer, I keep the same style for brochures and Facebook post
And the event was successful​​​​​​​

As a result, the event attracted more people attended than last year and the organization has more donating money for children in Vietnam. However, there are still some amazing idea that I would like to imply for the next event.
