Breaking stereotypes and converging fashion in gender

This is the era where everyone is fighting for gender equality and in this fight fashion does not stay behind. Today, androgyny is ruling the fashion industry. It’s not about men’s fashion or women’s fashion. It is all about what everyone can wear. It is all about unisex fashion. Androgynous fashion is a style that aims at breaking gender stereotypes. In this style of fashion there are no particular rules of wearing clothes that a man or a woman has to follow. This fashion is shifting us towards contemporary open-mindedness that encourages gender fluidity.
Androgyny, to some extent, is influenced by political threads like feminism and LGBTQIA movements. It is all about experiencing the joy of freedom and the feeling of not being restricted by boundaries and norms set by the society. Pink is no more a feminine color, just like blue is no more a masculine color. Women today no longer want to wear body-fitted clothes. They prefer to look good as well as comfortable in over sized dresses with lots of layers. Men, too, love to experiment with their clothes today and want to wear anything and everything that is quirky and fun. Today we can easily find men confidently sporting sheer shirts with laced collars, jackets with embellishments, soft tones with prints and various silhouettes of trousers, jeans and even skirts accessorizing with gladiators and block heels. Women, on the other hand, are seen experimenting with box-fit clothes and straight-fit silhouettes with waist-coats and accessorizing them with oxford brogues and ties which are styled in different ways. Jaden Smith being the best at gender-fluid looks in Hollywood, and Ranveer Singh being the most outrageous fashionista of the Indian film industry, have proved to be the head turners of fashion in the film industry by breaking the rules and sporting androgyny.
Raid your boyfriend’s wardrobe
Androgynous fashion is a boon. You can share your wardrobe with your partner. The second look can be easily done by grabbing the waistcoat from your guy and pairing it up with a shirt dress along with thigh high socks and boots. The sleek pony tail beautifully blends with the overall style.

Macho Men in Skirts
Who’s to say that skirts are just feminine? Rapper Kayne West and A$AP Rocky regularly perform in boxy kilts, while brands such as Hood by Air and Rick Owens are designing tunics and skirts that, in their practicality are swagger; men actually want to wear skirts. In our opinion in our fourth look the male model is totally nailing the look with the grey pleated skirt paired with black sheer front zip shirt and a blazer.
Why Should Girls Always Wear Pink?
In the first look the model is sporting a pink and white stripe shirt paired along with bell bottom jeans. The look has been accessorized by adding an extravagant rose as collar accessory. The patch work bag really adds to the glamour and breaks all stereotypes of how men should not carry a hand bag.

The unisex trousers
Checked trousers can be rocked by both men and women. Plaids never go out of style. Teamed up with the basic white tee, the addition of tie as a scarf adds much glam to the outfit. Put a jacket in a contrasting tone over the shoulder and one is good to go.
