Sonia Boyce Like Love / the Bluecoat

For the Sonia Boyce Like Love exhibition we were commissioned by the Bluecoat to create
a visual identity and graphic style that would overcome the complexity of the exhibition and
the problems this created in its visual communication.

The exhibition was a collaboration between Sonia Boyce and the Blue Room, an arts service
for adults with learning difficulties. This was then complimented by ?Action? which formed part
of Liverpool and the Black Atlantic, a city-wide series of exhibitions and events.

Our solution was a type based identity using typography to suggest family and care.
The identity/style had to work throughout the building, to guide visitors through the
exhibition spaces and also carry the concept through all publicity materials.
