This is an interesting project, that we get the inspiration from Rube Goldberg machines. You might Google if you haven't heard at Rube Goldberg before. We use the ball as the main character and each time the ball reaches a goal, it evolves (eg: changing colours, patterns). The machine is a mix of traditional physical Rube Goldberg with some futuristic ideas.

Working Process
We did a couple of concepts before coming up with the final animation. The storyboard was done roughly to show how the machine works. We also had fun to connect the movement of the ball with meaningful context.
We had fun playing with many design concepts before come up with a clean one. 5 concepts was presented, and only one was chosen.
