A design activism project called Small Steps. The intension was to identify a social issue in Hatfield, Pretoria, South Africa, and present a solution or commentary. 

I decided to identify as many cracks in pavement as I could in this fast-developing urban space. Within each crack, I planted a miniature garden. The aim was to make people aware of the space they live in, what they are taking for granted and more than anything - that they can change or affect it. 

The project was featured at the Venice Biennale in 2014 with CoolCapital. It was also selected as one of the three poster designs for the event.
