Forget Me Not

The brief:
Design a way to increase and maintain mental agility and ‘brain power’ in old age. The brief looks at the role design plays in increasing the mental agility of the elderly, and consequentially enhancing overall wellbeing, so that they may lead longer and more fulfilling lives. The objective of the project is to create a proactively engaging service or product.
This game was a group project, the teaser was done individually.

The solution:
Forget Me Not, a multipurpose card game for players of all ages.

The game:
Forget Me Not is a deck of 40 cards, featuring 28 illustration cards and 12 power cards, designed to elevate the average family gaming experience. It is inspired by the 90s in southeast Asia and employs the mnemonic peg system to help boost memory and improve motor control.
Apart from being completely customizable, Forget Me Not also functions as a discreet prompt/reminder system that uses the “hooking” technique of the mnemonic peg system.
Forget Me Not also has no text and communicates entirely through visuals, thereby totally eliminating the language barrier.
