Stop-motion film about the potato and its
different kinds of preparation. Fried potatoes, chips, french fries, dumplings, mashed potatoes and natural potatoes.
The clip was part of the potato-special for Sendung mit
dem Elefanten KIKA / WDR.
The aesthetics should be handmade, warm and not too perfect. crumbs and stains being part of the illustrations.
The Sendung mit dem Elefanten (The show with the elephant) is a TV show for children aged 3 to 5. It has an very playful approach to education. The show consists of five to seven little clips. A lot of times all about one subject. This episode was about potatoes. Besides this film there was (amongst others) an animation clip about the history of french fries, a real film on how a potato grows and an potato-dumpling song.
