Texturing Unit - Victorian Street
The main goal for this project was to use several different texting methods in one scene. We were given a few different briefs describing the theme we had to create our scene around including Victorian, supermarket, utopia, and a Scandinavian lodge.
Scene overview
Some of my development sketches including the scene layout and objects i wanted to include i feel i managed to stick fairly close to this with my final scene
The shop sign was a simple unrap but i tryed to make the material i applyed to it a bit more complicated. I gave the material a wood layer and a paint layer and used an opacity map to give it a worn look.
The first image shows the paint layer the second image is the alpha map which makes areas of the paint transparent and the third image is the wood layer that is exposed when the paint layer becomes transparent.
The peanut cart was one of the more complicated unwraps in the scene the curves and all the intricate parts made it much more of a challenge to unwrap. I could go back and spend more time making the the texture look better now that the unwrap is done.
This is the uvw unwrap you can see all the smaller more time consuming parts i had to unwrap for the hand and wheels rail at the top and on the left.
I also added some apples with simple uvw maps on them and the billboard with a basic unwrap like the other sign
