The art of lies
Brief
To select a product or service that has little or no use value or conceivable appeal. Take this product or service and construct a campaign including packing design, print ad with full colour page in the magazine.
Rationale
Ice is a simple product in supermarkets. The reason why I designed Ice Flavor was I wanted something new and make it more useful for audiences, which is the new commodity of drinks. The name of the product "Ice Flavor", directly bring the message to audiences which is an ice with flavor. This product is targeted at all restaurant, bar, cafe, family and party. Moreover, there are four flavors which are cola, coffee, beer and tea. Ice Flavor is commodity self. It is the product we employ for drinking. Also it is the way to keeps drink last and strong so that the drink would not be tasteless. Accordingly, those are the selling point of my product. The logo design I have used semiotics which means a sign that stands for the product. The sign of water drop is the symbol of water. The two difference color water drop at the back of logo means the product combined with natural flavor color and water. There are difference color logos for each flavor. Furthermore, I designed the new shape of ice to be geo-sphere and it is the symbol of Ice Flavor. The NZ magazine full-page ad is to be placed in Women's Day magazine. The reason for this is many housewife or women usually take the responsibility to in charge or look after her family so that women are the first target. I design a coupon at the bottom and the shape of coupon in relation to the packaging design is that tear to open Ice Flavor. It is also drawing people attention.
