Book cover for La riqueza de los humanos (The Wealth of Humans), a Spanish translation from Ryan Avent's investigative thesis on the future of the world of work, to be published by Ariel (Grupo Planeta). Amazon says: "In order to navigate our way across today's rapidly transforming economic landscape, he argues, we mus revisit our previous experiences of massive technological change - and radically reassess the very idea of how, and why, we work". My design proposal was simple: display a map of the evolution of human labour and development, from the origins of civilisation up until today. Art Direction by Carlos Aranda.

The chosen design method was to draw all icons inside a circle with a fix margin and grid. The same stroke width and round corners was to be applied to all lines, for pleasing visualisation in both tiny screen environments or huge printed posters. That unified stroke, together with the repetitive shape of a circle, would help in bring the whole system together.
