Miniature Set Design -
For my clay animation short film I had to make an outdoor set. Instead of direct making the set first I did blocking of the set using carton boxes and some objects of the same scale. I tried different arrngements and scales of the set then I finalise the design and started making the set.
Basic blocking with boxes and puppets:
As there are many angles in the film I had to move the set many times for setting the camera and lights, and hence I made this decision of using sun-board. Also, it gives very nice finishing.
These are some of the clicks of miniature set which I designed for my clay animation short film.
Colouring - I used ESDEE's N.C. putty and then Duco's Auto paints for colouring the set. For basic colouring I did spray painting and for aging theset I used foam and brush.
