Pica magazine is an initiative of the École de design of UQAM. Annuellement, ce nouvel outil de communication visuelle invite les étudiants actuels, les anciens étudiants, de professeurs de l'école de design de l'UQAM, who are the designers of locals and designers, who have a problem with their work and their faces Graphique ou rédactionnelle.
Human activity is aimed at creating works in which one recognizes an aesthetic value by means of shapes, colours, words and numbers. The artist tries to give the creative thought a visible form by making a figure from his or her thoughts. In fact, it’s the expressive structure that acts as an intermediary to communicate a thought or an idea.
In my project, I have drawn pen strokes representing the explosion of a caged form into a network that is trying to use the sign and the colour to create a work which constitutes a psychological and emotional reaction. It’s a source of energy which interacts with the observer.
There is a universal language, understood by all humans, where the form makes the artist’s thoughts visible. Art is expressed with every form that changes over time, following the evolution of man and perceptions.
Finally, I can declare that:
• The form is structure; art is energy.
• The form is pragmatic; art is intuitive
• The body is a shape; art is spiritual.
• The shape is required to achieve art; art does not need anything.
