Laro Tayo! An Activity Book and Kit for Children

Laro Tayo! is an activity book and kit for children that aims to revive the traditional Filipino games and ensure that the essence of the Filipino culture is still marked in the children's minds. Various outdoor Filipino games were adapted into an indoor game through pop ups, lift-the-flaps, pull tabs, and many more with brightly colored illustrations for a more fun and interactive play.

The activity book adapted the traditional Filipino games specifically Piko (Hopscotch), Tumbang Preso, Saranggola (Kite), Ten-Twenty (Garter Game), and Tagu-taguan (Hide-and-Seek). The book also show other traditional Filipino games like Luksong Baka, Sipa, and Patintero through pop ups. Trivia and facts about the said games are also included through lift-the-flaps.
Players can write their name on the puppets using a whiteboard marker and can also be erased afterwards.
Similar to the traditional way of playing Ten-Twenty, but instead using the children’s fingers as the legs of the puppets. A small garter is also included in the kit to be used in the game.
A traditional way of playing Piko but with a twist. Players should cut and assemble the two dice which they will use as the "pamato" (with the help of parents/guardian). Using the children's fingers as legs of their chosen puppet, they hop through the piko board, skipping the box with the sum of the numbers on the two dice.
A do-it-yourself Mini Saranggola with the provided materials and a step-by-step instruction which can be the children's starting point in making a real Saranggola.
A modified Tagu-taguan inspired by the game "Where’s Waldo".
A modified game of Tumbang Preso using a colorful cut out and do-it-yourself paper can and a one peso coin with a bright colored slipper sticker (included in the kit) that will serve as the alternative "pamato" of the player.
