Apontador & Maplink
LBS Group is one of the leaders in location-based services in Brazil.
In 2014 the company contacted Sowee when it realized that it was losing market to several competitors who brought innovative and modern proposals. It was clear that LBS's two main brands, Apontador and Maplink, urgently needed a repositioning.
We began our work with a market analysis that showed that, in fact, the two brands had stopped in time and were seen as outdated. Based on those perceptions, we sought to understand the essence of those brands to create a new way of expressing them through visual identity and physical spaces (branded environments).
In our creative process, we used the Explorer archetype to design spaces that symbolized a journey of discovery - the same feeling their users experience when using location-based services. To represent this "explorer", the environments have strong influences from brutalist architecture and the steam punk movement.
