The mood lighting Snow wave is designed and developed by graphic designer and product designer Silje Haugland Rangset from Os, in Norway. The mood lightning is made in quality material high burned porcelain. As a graphic designer she have also designes visual profile like; brand, booklet, advertising materiel and packaging to the lightning. Here you can see what she developed at her exam project. The design is developed as a mood lighting. Features of the product are to create a pleasant and atmospheric experience for Norwegians and tourists in cabins during Norwegian dark winter days in north. The product is designed and handmade in a delicious, high-fired, translucent porcelain, and therefore has high quality in its unique material ´the white gold` as porcelain is.
Snow Wave is inspired by Norway's wonderful and spectacular winter landscape, like snow formations in the mountains. Because of the cold winters in Norway, most people live indoors half of the year. It is important for Norwegians to have a good indoor atmosphere, this is why the designer is extra focused on how the lighting forms a mood. It illumination mimics winter landscape as a sculpture when it's off and when it's on it's a mood lighting provides a warm light resembling a flame in fireplace.
