醞釀、速度、質變、擴散，過程中創造意義
在2017年的臺灣文化博覽會主題館中，策展團隊揮別單純以設計工業、工藝產品物件堆疊出符號式展覽象徵，採取貼近城市生活樣態的議題性策展策略與民眾溝通對於文化的想像，透過不同專業領域者的參與，在原有的環境架構中尋找改變的契機，「在過程中創造意義」，一同撞擊輻射出對於「美好生活」的光譜。 展中藉由世代間討論「文化」在當代台灣的模樣，將多元思辯的脈絡與立場放入策展的過程與結果中，『設計』不再只是你認知的設計、『製造』也不再是你想像的製造！如同今年的策展主題「我們在文化裡爆炸」，「我們」代表了觀展者與展覽的參與者：年輕世代的動能、對於改變（Change）的渴望與創新（Creation）、人民有感的生活、跨域的合作與創質，不同介面與觸媒，不同路徑與策略，新的能量激發出文化、產業、設計的花火，在有感的真實行動中，成為展。
關於主視覺
在視覺上呈現的並非引爆後的爆炸瞬間，而是因爆炸所牽引出的迴盪與波瀾，將具有拼貼意識的Glitch音樂氛圍（解構跳拍、想像馳放、節奏噪音、電子脈衝）與主題typo字型結合轉化視覺語言，強調展覽精神：在文化裡爆炸的動態感，此展覽不只是轟轟烈烈地一瞬，更重要的是彰顯展中不同領域的所有參與者，在動能聚爆之後產生的新意義，生活有感，感知真實，實際行動。
To generate, to accelerate, to convert, to expand, Creating Meanings In the Process
In the 2017 Creative Expo Taiwan, the curatorial team has bid farewell to the conventional way of creating cultural symbols out of manufacturing design and stacking up craft products. The new approach is to tackle on urban lifestyle issues, and together with the Taiwanese public, to seek opportunities to change within the current social structure, to “create meanings through process” and through discussions, to bring forth different cultural paths to illuminate the guide to a “good life.” Through discussing the current form of “culture"of modern Taiwan, and incorporating it into the process and result of the expo, “design" and "manufacturing" are no longer what you may expect it to be! Just like the theme for this year’s expo, “Cultural Explosion," it incorporates both the viewers and the participants of the Expo. The young generation’s energy and their yearning for change and creation, people’s thoughts on life, collaborations and innovations between diverse fields, interfaces, and catalyst, different policies, and routes, allows for the sparking of a new culture which becomes a reality and the exhibit itself.
About Visual Concept
It presents not the moment after an explosion, but the ripples and quivering generated by it. We combine Glitch music components (deconstructive tempo, unleashed imagination, rhythmic noise, and electronic pulse) and typographies into the visual language to introduce this exhibition concept. The dynamic cultural explosion is much more than a flash of a loud boom. More importantly, we highlight participants from all different areas that create new meanings, sentiments, sensible reality and substantial actions after this dynamic explosion.
