Design “Edge”

Design “Edge” is the utmost functional design of the apartment, embodied by the clear edges of the walls and dynamic style.
The main goal of the project was not simply to organize a three-roomed apartment, but also to solve the functional tasks of each room. Therefore, first and foremost, this design is interesting in that it reveals the possibilities of a dynamic style in interior design. The basis of the concept was the shape of the emerald, whose clear edges reveal its purity and depth. Thus a light interior, cut by angular lines of walls, simultaneously expands and is assembled together. Inclusions of a special color make the filling of the apartment more intense and more complete. The landlady loves exotic animals, insects and butterflies. It was the shade of the wings of a butterfly of the genius Morpho that served as the basis for the color accents.
After a thorough analysis of a general space, an important interior solution was found: the lines of the walls which are the edges that dynamically flow from the hallway to the living room and continue in each room. Thus, the apartment formed a spacious living room, a full-fledged children’s room, a small bedroom and an ergonomic kitchen and bathroom. A design solution in the form of glass windows in the interior walls maximum unites the entire space and emphasizes its ease. For a small area of the room, it is important to consider the availability of storage space, its functionality and compactness. The best choice for the bedroom was a built-in wardrobe with mirror inserts, and in the wall above the head of the bed one managed to place hidden niches. The entrance to the bedroom is made in the form of a glass matt sliding door in the height of the wall. For visual expansion of the space in the hallway there is a growth mirror with illumination at the bottom, and next there is a hidden dressing room the doors of which have a geometric ornament and are painted in the tone of the walls.
The apartment as a precious stone got its cut. Thanks to the design of the walls, space has become optimal to meet the needs of the family that will live there.
