The American Press is a single-serve coffee maker that brews as you press by forcing water under pressure through coffee grounds (or tea leaves) contained in an enclosed, reusable pod. It keeps coffee clean and complex, it brews faster, and by keeping grounds contained it’s a first in convenient craft brewing: A fully self-contained coffee press without the mess. Alex–the founder of the American Press–is a highly enthusiastic entrepreneur and I loved working with him to illustrate this guide explaining how people should optimally use their American Press.
