Conceptual design for a pop-up bookstore that sells exclusively pop-up books inside a large retail warehouse. In its inactive state, the bookstore serves as a stage for special events. Derived from pop-up book-making techniques, different elements "pop up" to become stairs, seating, or bookcases. Imagined as completely built of wood, each pop-up function corresponds with a different species of wood.
