This rocket was a blast (no pun intended ...) to make. The first version I set out to create was a much more photorealistic version than the "flat" version, with great blends done in the flames behind the rocket, all with smoke and astral dust!
Too bad Apple ruins everything and makes people believe this term "flat" is better. And now we live in a world of Material-UI. But I digress! Either way, this was the second version of the illustration, 100% completed in Adobe Illustrator–and later used by their marketing staff for various mediums as seen below (as well as other branding assets you can see across the various materials):
