It has been a big privilege to develop logo and identity for nation's second most well known theater that has a long history and is connected with some of the biggest names in Czech acting. The theater was built in secession style in a part of Prague that used to be a royal district called Vinohrady. Therefore the new logo is a combination of a "V" symbol and a royal crown made out of stage lights. The new symbol is austere, but still easy to read and remember. The typeface references 20th century modernism, yet still includes some characteristics of the Art Nouveau era.
The new identity expresses the tradition and elegance of the early 20th century, yet remains clearly modern to attract contemporary visitors. The color scheme consists of Burgundy, Gold and Black, colors that have always been in theatre's traditional color codes.
