Purpose: The purpose of this project was to learn about the grunge era and how the theme works. Then, apply it by taking inspiration from David Carson and creating a book cover.
Process: In this process I only ended up using Adobe Illustrator. The tools I used were: The type tool, Transparency tool, Image Tracing, and Placed images. For the transparency tool, i mostly used it for the blending modes to help everything mesh well together and look like one. The image tracing tool helped me create the bookshelf that really let me make the effect I wanted.
Color Theory: I chose colors that would fit the grunge theme. I wanted the book to look like it was faded and a little destroyed because it's about an old Diary that was found. The color scheme is monochromatic.
