展覽主軸 Meaning /
紀念台灣大學數學系成立70周年誕生的對外展覽，從早年的教具、課本和文獻，到白色恐怖時期的政治參與，忠實紀錄了系所70年間學生、學校和社會之間的關係。數學中的幾何針對的就是形狀，並引用電影導演Tarkovsky的書：Sculpting in Time，以「時間的形狀」發想做為主軸，讓參觀者直觀了解數學系一路的誕生、成熟和現況。
This exhibition commemorating the 70th anniversary of the department of mathematics of NTU, from early textbooks and documents to political participation in the white terror era, faithfully records the relationship between students, schools and society.

由於時間的流動是線性的，由2D的線組成3D的曲面，字與字之間曲面互相環繞，沒有起頭和終點，以此具象化時間的形狀。
The "Shape of Time" concept inspired by a quote from the film director Tarkovsky's book: Sculpting in Time. As the flow of time is linear, it is composed of 2D lines and 3D curved surface. The curved surface between words is surrounded by each other, with no beginning and end, so as to visualize the shape of time.
