Vitaliti Tricorder

Vitaliti is a prototype, consumer-focused medical device designed for the the Qualcomm Tricorder XPRIZE. The goal of this $10 million competition is to design a functioning device that most accurately diagnoses a set of diseases independent of a healthcare professional or facility, all while providing an optimal user experience.
To meet the Xprize competition requirements, a successful device must be able to diagnose 10 core conditions, 3 elective conditions, monitor the 5 body vitals and weigh no more than 5 lbs. Beyond these requirements there is no limit to how the devices look, feel or work. Each device is tested by real patients and awarded a grade based on their diagnostic accuracy and overall user experience.
The system is comprised of 4 interdependent devices: the Wearable Vitals Monitor, Spirotoscope, InVitro Diagnostics Base Station and Vitaliti Mobile Application. The integrated sensors gather important health metrics while the mobile application collects user symptoms. Diagnostics are computed based on the user responses and collected sensor data.
Our team was awarded the Xprize Bold Epic Innovator Award for our moonshot approach, one of three winning teams out of a total of 330 teams competing worldwide.
