“The Serpent of the Sea” (Adobe CS5 Five Weeks of Five)

“The Serpent of the Sea” (AdobeCS5 Competition)

Week # 3 Design
My submission for the 3rd week of the Adobe CS5 Five Weeks of Five, spent about 28hours on this. I have to say;the Puppet Warp feature was used tremendously throughout this piece, this couldnot have been made without it. Enjoy!

Puppet Warp was used extensivelythroughout this piece. To get the leviathan shaped water, I had to work with alot of manipulating and bending of elements. Which means a whole lot of maskinglayers compiled upon each other, about 460 too be exact. Each layer wascarefully Puppet Warped using specific anchor points to try and mimic water’sorganic properties. For instance, it was used to carve pathways out of thewater surrounding the woman, in order to give off an emerging effect. It wasused most prominently however, in the shaping of the leviathan itself.
