The task was to develop both Product and Brand Identity concept for Homega, a new consumer appliance brand. The product is a wireless bluetooth speaker specifically designed for entertainment in a home kitchen setting.
The design is clean and minimal and was inspired by regular kitchen appliances like scales, toasters e.t.c. The goal was to create an aesthetic that would blend in the kitchen setting while from a functional perspective also able to withstand special conditions like heat, steam, moisture or liquid spills. This had a direct influence on the material selection which included a Polycarbonate & ABS casing for strength and a smooth gloss finish, while the front speaker is made from perforated stainless steel.
The base and caseback holds the internal lithium ion battery as well as charging ports and USB input.
In addition to the product design, packaging and marketing shots were created to showcase product and brand fit.
