1950's Ads Revisited

There are so many completely ridiculous ads out there from the 1950's and 60's full of misogyny and crazy claims and the image of a perfect life that's totally unrealistic. However, the imagery and the style of these decades is timeless and powerful and sometimes funny. So, I decided to re-imagine some of these themes with a couple of my own ads for products that never existed, but could have.

The first ad is for Meat-B-Gone. (To take care of those lecherous husbands 'one drop at a time.')

The second ad is for Super Douche Dishwashing Liquid and was inspired by an actual shampoo ad from the 50's which featured a woman who was about to kill herself no less than 3 different ways because of a bad hair day. Amazing.

All of the styling, layout, photography, product design and copy were done by me.
