Inspired by Henri Matisse, Sonia Delaunay and the work of the Polish poster artists, the aim was to experiment with large areas of colour, expressive cut type and the use of positive and negative spaces. Noticing quickly that a really definitive style was developing, A1 posters were created.
This project gave me a wonderful beginning to my career, winning the new designer of the year award, which led to my first job as a designer with Habitat.
