In this hypothetical ad for Gucci, my concept was that the jewelry was so vibrant and intense that the color was literally spilling out from the gemstones like liquid, as if the jewelry were pure saturation solidified.  Although, the cufflinks featured are not actually Gucci, I thought that they embodied a similar design aesthetic which is why I chose Gucci as my ‘client’ for this project. The final ad composition (at top) features original studio photography captured at three different exposure values which were then merged into an HDR image. Adobe Photoshop was used to process the HDR photomerge settings, and other adjustments include the use of the camera raw filter, adjustment layers, and color processing.
