Japanese Tea Packing

The purpose of this packaging is to suppress the essence of the tea ceremony in Japan, a complex and unique experience, involving deep traditions that resonate through nowadays. A package created direct to the millennial Japanese culture, wich the goal is to spark interest about the historical traditions. A contrast between modern and traditional.

Shape and Materials

Four types of the most popular traditional teas were picked for the product line. The package shape was inspired by Kamons (Japanese family emblems). Wood and aluminum were chosen as materials to represent the contrast between old and new, as observed in the ancient shrines wooden structures and in the metal look of the city skyline.
