Semiotics: Label Swap
SNAX x SKYN
For this university project, I have selected two completely different products and swapped their signifiers respectively. The two products I have chosen are Snax crackers and Skyn condoms as both have different target markets.
AUT collaborated with Auckland Art Gallery to exhibit The Label Swap Project. This project was then selected to be displayed as part of the exhibition.
The effect of this product label swap alters the target market. The Snax crackers now obtain a faux luxurious aesthetic, while the Skyn condoms' signifiers convey a humorous and comedic effect on the product.
