Room model based on the Scottish and Irish folktales of Selkies or "Seal Wives", women who appear as seals in the ocean but shed their seal-skins to walk on land. According to the legend, fishermen would take the skins and thus the Selkies would become their wives. Some of the stories are happy and some sad, but regardless, the Selkie always implacably pines for the sea and eventually makes her return.

I wanted to create a slightly ambiguous image, but content or not, this Selkie has surrounded herself with reminders of the ocean.

I added a lot of detail to this set, so was able to generate quite a few nice 2D images from it.
