EDINBURGH OLD TOWN TYPE SPECIMEN
As part of the Typeplace project, we had to design a typeface based on our experience of out locations around Edinburgh, maintaining the same visual language throughout each letterform. The typeface itself was developed by taking inspiration from the tall black walls of the closes and the perspective lines guiding the eye through them.
The type specimen showcases each of the letters from the Old Town Typeface, including both upper and lowercase letters, and numbers. The book has various pages that open out to reveal the letter forms, as well as spot varnished pages.
