In October of 2014, Motor Trike celebrated its 20th anniversary, but over a year beforehand, I was involved in the planning and execution of hype for the company's 20th anniversary rally, also referred to as The Motor Trike Rally. Hundreds of people pre-registered to attend and even more appeared that October at company headquarters. Past and present owners were invited, and it was my responsibility to ensure that not only they knew that, but press, city/state personalities, and their acquaintances knew it, too.
After conceptualizing the overall anniversary theme that I implemented one year prior to the event, I created a rally website (registration form now disabled, but a recap and photos are available at motortrike.com/rally
. Designed elements for the rally, shown below, include a poster, website screenshots, a certificate, rack cards, outdoor signage, a flyer, and an emailed schedule of events graphic.
Although a new experience for me, I enjoyed both the planning and execution of communication for this event.
