The Color in Geometry is the title of my thesis project for the BA in Graphic Design. The subject was the development of the brand identity of the newly founded National Museum of Contemporary Art (ΕΜΣΤ) in Athens. Based on this new identity I created a campaign for an (imaginery) exhibition, which I would have curated on four modern painters (Picasso, Kandinsky, Klee, Lissitzky). All four artists are selected not only due to their own work, but also because their ideas provided the foundations to many artistic movements, thus preserving their independence. I named the exhibition "The color in geometry" because I believe that the primary aim is to make us understand the simple yet difficult application of the color to geometric relations. Relations which are mostly characterized by complexity and ambiguity, but sometimes the simplicity and clarity they have, lead us to conclude that the phrase "Less is more" also applies to visual arts.
