On January 9, 2017 Lt. Debra Clayton was killed attempting to apprehend a suspect wanted for the murder of his pregnant girlfriend. She approached the suspect whose name I refuse to give claim to, the cowardly murderer, and he shot her in the thigh. As she lie on the ground, he shot her three more times killing the wife and mother. 

This painting was completed by Kevin Wood who was chosen to immortalize the hero on canvas and will be unveiled on April 11, 2017 at the new police precinct. It was a great honor for me to watch this piece of history be created. I am sure that as it is unveiled it will bring tears and memories and joy to those who bestow it. It is an amazing painting of a phenomenal hero by a master artist. Her memory will always live on.
