A NATIONAL PARK DESIGN WITH A SET OF EQUIPMENTS FOR THE SURVIVAL OF THE CAIÇARA TRADITIONAL CULTURE.


Analysis: Symbolic Territory x Functional Territory
Originated from the miscegenation between indigenous fishermen and Portuguese settlers 300 years ago, the Caiçara’s communities have been adapting their cultural heritage to the needs and existing inputs of the environment, resulting in a specific way of living.
Intervention 01: Conservation Unit Management Plan and Watershed-based zoning 
Taking into account the recent alterations in territorial zoning and the expansion of urban culture in disfavor of traditional villages, Caiçaras Territories proposes a set of design strategies that express those transformations and function as mediators of these cultural conflicts.
