Lines and Colours of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene
The hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene are an hand-drawn history book. The sinuous but difficult land is an open cast illustration of the heroic sacrifice of the millenial winegrowers who drew a landscape made of a multitude of lines and colours. The textures resting under the sun of Treviso, the terraces, the rows, the vines are the traces of an ancient drawing that tells a wonderful story made of the deep respect of the men who have been moulding the beautiful shapes of the hills, enjoying their sweetest fruit. This proposal intends to transmit the lines and colours of the landscape of Treviso. Playing with the letter of "Conegliano Valdobbiadene" we looked for a lettering adjusted to represent the lines and textures of all the elements characterizing the territory. With the right abstraction, the letters try to redraw the terraces hills, the vines' rows, the arcs of the village's architecture, the flow of the clear waters and the pitchs of the steeple and the towers that stand out among the houses. Each drawing, in addition to the straight, inclined or roundish lines, presents the colours of every element. It emerges a modern and playful logo that, aligned to the left, reminds of the terraces which let the Venetian farmer grow the vines, that make so famous these hills. While working only on the naming part, the logo can represent the whole territory as a picture taken by a plane overflying the hills, telling the story of the lines and colours.
The new logo for Conegliano Valdobbiadene, coloured or black and white, suits several uses. The playful and catchy logo, that still preserve a modern and minimal nature, is presented in various proposals that highlight an important commercial potential. The new logo, in fact, accompanied by a pattern and a colorful typeface, thanks to the extreme simplicity and adaptability, aims to a huge online diffusion, looking for a young and connected target.
