Figaro is a fantasy bird that lives in the jungle. He has curious eyes and small green wings. He cannot fly, but is happy anyway; he can bounce around on his big round bird feet. And – Figaro has loads of friends. In the sea, in the air, and on the ground.

The ability to change in shape and expression makes the toy stimulate the child’s creativity and fine motor skills. I experimented with primary forms since I had an ambition to make the toy educational as well.
Through out the process I was working close to both my target group children and the industry.  It also took a lot of trial-and-error-study with wood since it is a living material that changes slightly with the airs humidity. The final product will be made with water-jet cutting, good in terms of production limiting the waste – the shapes can be cut with 1 mm’s margin!
