This project started because I was not a huge fan of my University's mobile app. The biggest reason is that it has not been updated for the new, bigger devices. I mainly talking about iOS as that is the version of the app I use.. Below is a screen grab of the current application (as of writing this).

Above is my design process. After sketching out some very rough drafts and ideas (I am not the best of drawers) I throw it into Adobe Experience Design. I start with making a very basic layout of the app that mimics my sketches. This can be seen in the upper right with the "Block Homepage Mockup". From their I kind of branch out keeping a similar pattern.

I decided to change the rounded squares to just full-width rectangles as I felt that was more modern and the rounded edges felt very app-like which the direction I wanted to go away from.
