A PIECE OF HISTORY BENEATH YOUR BEVERAGE
There was a time in antique Costa Rica, when houses and buildings had such beautiful cement tiles covering their floors. Now in the present, those artistic details have been lost in modern architecture and most of those classic houses and buildings have been demolished. Only few of them remain.
In order to immortalize those magical details we visited those historical places that still stand, captured the image of the most emblematic floor patterns and made them reborn into PisoVasos (CoasterTiles), a series of coasters made out of ceramic, glued to cork and covered with a thin layer of resin for a glossy finish.
The result is a set of little pieces of design that pay tribute to a beautiful part of our past.
