The purpose of this project: to "visualize" the big problem of cruelty to children (especially child mortality) and to represent the statistic of violence and abuse against children. Children are usually called "Flowers of life"; this idea affected the visual language of this project.

Two flowers (even number of flowers) mean something sad and mourning in Russia. First (stylized, with sharp edges, fading flower) flower has names of different children exposed to violence and abuse, the second flower gives dates of their lives.

In addition, this project might become an interactive visualization of children violence statistic.
By clicking on a child’s name, dates of life and tragic history appear.

There is an option to choose any country to explore this statistic.
