Announcement Logograms
Social Media Campaign Graphics
Here is a collection of images used on Twitter posts in support of a product announcement for stackpoint.io. The product makes it easy to deploy and manage a broad distributed computing toolset - providing an excellent opportunity to combine various logos.
Logograms
A fun aspect of the art direction for the product is the opportunity to play with other logos. I love the mythical feeling which exudes from logographic languages like hieroglyphics, Chinese and Japanese.

The goal is to present the target audience with a collection of familiar images grouped in an engaging manner - simple puzzles.
"We know that the issue in all communication is moving the brain, and puzzles move the brain. This one makes everyone feel good because they solved the problem."
- Milton Glaser speaking on I [heart] NY.
Playing to the Audience
To those familiar with the Kubernetes and Cloud Native ecosystem, the logos and shape will be familiar. Their relationship to one another presents the puzzle.

For example, the following represent "Kubernetes running on Ubutu in AWS - as powered by Stackpoint.io."
"Powered by", the wings on the Kubernetes heptagon are derived from the StackPointCloud logo. The Ubuntu logo at the heart of the heptagon all sitting on top of the AWS logo; the wordmark purposely omitted so as to exclude any phonetic characters.

In this next image, the StackPointCloud wings embrace the Kubernetes heptagon with a material design inspired tag replacing the helm. The wings on the heptagon are frequently occurring pattern in images associated with the brand given the company's focus on the open source project, Kubernetes.
Hope you enjoyed this brief on a small part of a longer running project. As one of the founders at StackPointCloud, I wear many hats. Building a language and generating the images which convey the results of our engineering efforts is one of the more fun hats afforded me.

If you like the work, let's connect. I can usually be found on Twitter, and occasionally post to Dribbble
